Yves Bissouma has left Tottenham to join Ajax on a free transfer, the move confirmed on 15 September 2026. The midfielder departs north London after a period in which he combined domestic duties with international football for Mali.

A busy year across competitions

Bissouma's 2025 workload spanned three different settings. In the Premier League he made 11 appearances for Tottenham, totalling 605 minutes, while for Mali he featured six times in Africa Cup of Nations qualifying for 470 minutes and a further four times at the Africa Cup of Nations itself, playing 288 minutes. In all, he registered 21 competitive appearances and two goals across the year, amassing 1,363 minutes of action.

That spread of minutes reflects a player who has remained a regular feature both for club and country, even as his role at Tottenham approached its end.

A new chapter at Ajax

Bissouma now moves to Ajax, joining as a free agent and bringing his midfield experience to a new league. The switch closes his Tottenham chapter and opens a fresh one in Amsterdam, where he will look to build on the involvement he sustained through both club and international commitments last year.
