Stuttgart face Champions League test with five players unavailable
VfB Stuttgart head into their UEFA Champions League fixture on 20 October without five players, a list that includes injuries and roster absences at a key point in the competition's early rounds.
Injury situation
Justin Diehl, Tiago Tomas and Dan-Axel Zagadou are all listed as unavailable with muscle injuries, removing three options from contention for the match.
Alongside the injured trio, Stefan Drljaca and Leonidas Stergiou are both off the roster and will take no part in the fixture.
With five absentees in total, Stuttgart will need others to step up as they continue their Champions League campaign, which comes roughly nine matchdays into the domestic season.
