Serie A title race stays level at the top as Roma share the lead
AS Roma sit at the top of Serie A after five matches, though the margin separating them from their closest challengers remains nil, with no points to spare at the summit.
A congested summit
The early-season standings underline how tight this year's Serie A has become, with Roma's position at the head of the table resting on fine margins rather than a clear advantage.
With the campaign having reached its seventh round of fixtures overall, every result from here is likely to carry significant weight in shaping how the race for the title develops.
What comes next
For Roma, maintaining their place at the top will depend on converting their current standing into a more secure lead over the coming rounds.
Given how little currently separates the leading sides, upcoming fixtures across the division are set to have an outsized influence on the destination of the title race.
