Serie A title race remains level at the top as Roma share the summit
Roma find themselves at the head of the Serie A table after five rounds of fixtures, though the position comes with no breathing space attached. Despite topping the standings, the Giallorossi hold no points cushion over the chasing pack, meaning the smallest slip could see them displaced before the next round is played.
A congested summit
With the league still in its early stages, the lack of separation at the top reflects how tightly matched the division's leading sides have been so far. Roma's position as pace-setters is notable, but the absence of any gap underlines just how little currently divides the teams occupying the upper reaches of the table.
What comes next
For Roma, the task now is to turn a share of top spot into something more durable. With the campaign still relatively young, there is ample time for the picture to shift, but every match from here will carry extra weight as the chasing group looks to close the gap that, for now, does not exist.
