Sabah FA host Borussia Dortmund in Champions League matchday three
Sabah FA take on Borussia Dortmund at the Baku Olympic Stadium on 20 October in matchday three of the Champions League league stage, a fixture that pits an unbeaten domestic run against a European heavyweight looking to find consistency away from home.
Form lines tell a story
Sabah FA arrive on the back of four wins and a draw in their last five outings, a run that has kept them unbeaten across that spell. Dortmund's recent sequence has been more mixed, with two wins, two draws and a defeat in their last five, leaving them with fewer victories than their hosts across the comparable run of matches.
That gap in results adds an intriguing layer to a tie that, on paper, still favours the visitors given their European pedigree, but form heading into matchday three suggests Sabah FA will not simply make up the numbers.
What's at stake
With the league phase still taking shape after two rounds, three points in Baku would matter significantly for both sides as they look to build towards the knockout qualification places. Dortmund will be keen to arrest any inconsistency, while Sabah FA will fancy their chances of adding another positive result to a buoyant run of form.
