Morgan Rogers completes move from Aston Villa to Chelsea
Chelsea have completed the signing of attacker Morgan Rogers from Aston Villa, with the transfer confirmed on 19 July 2026.
The move arrives as Chelsea prepare for the new Premier League season, with pre-season underway across the top European leagues.
A busy 2025 campaign
Rogers was a regular fixture for Aston Villa throughout 2025, making 37 Premier League appearances totalling 3,285 minutes. He also featured 15 times in the UEFA Europa League, playing 1,087 minutes for the club in that competition.
His workload extended beyond league and European football, with two FA Cup appearances and a single League Cup outing also on his record for Aston Villa. Across all competitive matches in 2025 he made 60 appearances, played 4,857 minutes and scored 16 goals.
Rogers also featured for England U21, making five appearances totalling 295 minutes during UEFA U21 Championship qualification.
