Marseille host Le Havre aiming to extend dominant recent record
Marseille return to the Orange Vélodrome on matchday eight of Ligue 1 to face Le Havre, a fixture the hosts have made very much their own in recent seasons. Marseille have won each of the last five meetings between the sides, a run that stretches back to May 2024.
Form going in
Neither side arrives in rich vein of form. Marseille have won two and lost three of their last five league outings, including defeats in their two most recent matches, while Le Havre have managed just one win and one draw in their equivalent run, with three losses among them.
Despite the inconsistency, Marseille's record edges that of their opponents across those five matches, with two wins to Le Havre's one, giving the hosts a modest advantage heading into the weekend.
A history of heavy wins
The two sides' recent head-to-head meetings have rarely been close. Marseille won 6-2 when the teams met in October 2025, and followed that with a 5-1 win in January 2025 and further victories home and away either side of those results, most recently a 1-0 win in Le Havre in May.
