Manchester United face selection headache with six players sidelined
Manchester United head into their Premier League match on 20 September with a lengthy absentee list, as six players are unavailable for selection.
Six out injured
Amad Diallo and Thomas Heaton are both out through injury, while Luke Shaw is also listed as unavailable with an injury.
Manuel Ugarte is sidelined by a knee injury and Carlos Baleba by an ankle injury, adding further gaps in midfield options. Matthijs de Ligt, meanwhile, is unavailable with a back injury, taking another central defensive option out of contention.
With the Premier League campaign now seven matchdays old, the volume of absences across defence and midfield leaves United needing to manage selection carefully as they look to keep pace in the competition.
