Lille host Galatasaray in Champions League matchday 3 clash
Lille take on Galatasaray at the Stade Pierre-Mauroy on 21 October as the Champions League league stage reaches its third round of matches. The French side host a Galatasaray team that arrives with a near-identical recent record, setting up a fixture between two clubs who have found wins hard to come by consistently this term.
Form guide
Lille's last five outings read draw, loss, win, win, loss, giving them two victories from that sequence. Galatasaray have matched that exact tally, with two wins of their own alongside a draw and two defeats in their last five, leaving the two clubs evenly matched on recent results heading into this encounter.
What's at stake
With both sides sitting on identical recent win counts, matchday 3 offers a chance for either to pull ahead in the race for league-stage points. Neither has shown the kind of sustained form that would make them clear favourites on paper, which adds an extra edge to a meeting between two teams looking to find more consistency.
