Aladji Bamba completes move from Monaco to Newcastle
Newcastle have completed the signing of midfielder Aladji Bamba from Monaco, with the transfer confirmed on 23 July 2026.
The move arrives during the summer transfer window as clubs across Europe continue preparations ahead of the new season.
A busy 2025 campaign
Bamba made 32 competitive appearances across club and international football in 2025, totalling 1,392 minutes and a single goal.
The bulk of that game time came at Monaco, where he featured 18 times in Ligue 1 for 830 minutes, adding five Champions League appearances and two outings in the Coupe de France.
He was also a regular for France's youth sides, appearing six times in UEFA U19 Championship qualification and once at the Tournoi Maurice Revello with the U20s.
What it means for Newcastle
The arrival gives Newcastle another option in midfield, with Bamba bringing both domestic and European experience from his time in Monaco despite still being at an early stage of his senior career.
His involvement with France's junior national teams also points to a player already accustomed to representative football alongside his club commitments.
