Adeyemi completes move from Borussia Dortmund to Barcelona
Barcelona have completed the signing of Karim-David Adeyemi from Borussia Dortmund, with the transfer confirmed on 21 July 2026. The attacker moves to Spain having spent recent seasons as a regular feature in Dortmund's forward line.
The transfer arrives during the pre-season window, giving Adeyemi time to settle in before the major European leagues resume.
A productive campaign
Adeyemi's 2025 campaign in competitive fixtures alone brought 47 appearances and 15 goals across 2,333 minutes for club and country. The bulk of that workload came in the Bundesliga, where he made 28 appearances for Dortmund totalling 1,215 minutes.
He also featured for Dortmund in the UEFA Champions League, making nine appearances, and turned out five times in the FIFA Club World Cup. A further two outings came in the DFB Pokal, while he was capped three times for Germany U21 in UEFA U21 Championship qualification.
What it means for Barcelona
The move adds another attacking option to Barcelona's squad as they prepare for the season ahead. Adeyemi's output in front of goal, combined with the volume of minutes he has accumulated across multiple competitions, suggests he arrives with plenty of match sharpness already built in.
